Hi everyone, today we’d like to announce some updates and changes coming to FACEIT for CS:GO players. SOLO/DUO RANKED LEAGUE and QUEUE Tomorrow with the beginning of the new season, a new league system will be added for EU and NA players. The current 5v5 Leagues and 5v5 queue system will remain the same as it is today. Players will still be able to play solo or in a full team, collecting points towards the 5v5 Leagues. A new Solo/Duo League and Solo/Duo queue will be added where points can be won and lost only by players playing in the Solo/Duo queue. Premium players can only join the Solo/Duo queue when playing alone or with one other friend. We will be removing the Premium Queue option once the Solo/Duo Queue goes live. Players with any subscription (unlimited or premium) will be able to compete in the Solo/Duo League. This new League will also serve as the place where players will be able to qualify into the FPL. VOTE KICK SYSTEM In the SOLO/DUO queue we will be activating a new feature that will allow you to kick a player from the server if 4 members of the team have agreed on that. Every player will be able to call a Vote Kick once per match. If a player has left the game, then the required votes will be reduced to 3 players in order to kick a player. TIMEOUTS We will be enabling the Timeout system implemented by Valve. Each team will be able to call a 60 second timeout, once per match. ELO RESET We are removing the Elo reset that happens at the start of the month for all players except the highest and lowest elo ranges. Only players above 2100 and below 700 will be reset to 2100 and 700 respectively. SERVER ISSUES Server issues are always a hot topic and we are constantly working on improving their stability as well as performance. We have implemented a new tracking system on all our servers which will monitor any fluctuations in performance and allow us to identify and fix issues faster and we are testing two new providers for both EU and NA in order to get better routing for certain locations. FPL QUALIFIER To the select few who enter into the FPL qualifiers, we have decided to change the format and schedule. From now on, FPL qualifiers will be held on a weekend and only open for a specific time period on those days. This decision was made based on feedback from players, where commitments during the week left them unable to fully commit to qualification (School, work etc). The next FPL qualifier will take place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th April from 10am CEST/CDT until 2am CEST/CDT CLOSING OF THE OLD WEB APPLICATION And Finally, after many years of service we will be closing the old FACEIT site for good. From now on, what was beta.faceit.com will now be accessible through www.faceit.com and you will no longer be able to access the old website. TL;DR: New Solo/Duo only League and Queue added for EU and NA for Premium Users only. Can only qualify for FPL by playing in the Solo/Duo League. Elo will no longer reset if you are below 2100 or above 700 Elo. Vote Kicking enabled for Solo/Duo queues. New server monitoring system implemented. New FPL Qualifier format.
